In this tutorial we demonstrate how to install DotNetNuke v5 to Windows 7.
You can install DotNetNuke to any version of Windows 7 because all versions have the ability to install Internet Information Services or IIS v7.5, however we recommend that you use Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate so that you can take advantage of using Windows Virtual PC.
We walk you through how to configure and install the required programmes for installing DotNetNuke using a fresh installation of Windows 7 as well as how to setup Windows 7 for best performance. Once the required programmes are setup we then demonstrate how to install DotNetNuke to Windows 7.
We also provide two methods for installing DotNetNuke to help you with troubleshooting any problems you may come across when installing DotNetNuke.
For this setup we use:
- Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.5
- The .NET Framework
