In this video tutorial we demonstrate how to install the DotNetNuke v4.5.1 source code using Windows XP Professional. Installing the source code version of DotNetNuke allows you to make changes to the core code of DotNetNuke.
We assume that you’re a relatively experienced DotNetNuke user and that you already understand the various programmes needed and how to install DotNetNuke without the source code.

For this tutorial you will need to install:
- Internet Information Services (IIS)
- ASP.NET 2.0 Framework
- SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server Express 2005
- Visual Studio 2005
- Windows Updates
Note: The source code version of DotNetNuke will not work with Visual Web Developer Express 2005
