Lee, I'm using DNN 5.1.2, and the only option I get in the Install Extensions. I don't get the option to Install Core Modules. It's the same for 5.1.0 I have an install of 5.1.2 which is a base install, no skins or additional features, and it's the same. Is this a bug or have they changed it again? |

Lee, What is strange is that all of a sudden the extra links appeared. I then added all the core modules, and then they disappeared again. I just had a look, and the links where there in two our of three websites. In my clean install of DNN, only the Install Extensions Wizard link was appearing. Just worked it out.... There are two different modes for the Exentions. If you click on the link at the top of the icon bar, you get the Admin Extensions, which doesn't have these links. But if you go Hosts... Extensions you get them... I didn't realise that the Extensions module worked differently for an Admin user as opposed to SuperAdmin. However it does make sense. Thanks JJ. |

Whilst trying to install ‘3d-party Modules’ [ie. digFlash v1.0.1, DDRMenu v0.9.3] I receive the following error:
A critical error has occurred. Access to the path 'C:\Inetpub\vhosts\mydomain.com\httpdocs\Install\Temp\h41crxsy' is denied.
This application contains an Update Service which displays an icon when a new version of an Extension is available. The icon displayed will contain a visual indication if a currently installed Extension contains a potential security vulnerability. If a security vulnerability is identified, it is highly recommended that you upgrade to the newer version of the Extension. Clicking the icon will redirect you to a location where you will be able to acquire the Extension for immediate installation.
Whilst trying to install ‘Available Modules’ [ie. Links (04.00.01), Events (05.00.02)] I receive the following error:
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, DirectorySecurity dirSecurity) at System.IO.DirectoryInfo.Create() at DotNetNuke.Services.Installer.Util.WriteStream(Stream SourceStream, String DestFileName) at DotNetNuke.Services.Installer.InstallerInfo.ReadZipStream(Stream inputStream, Boolean isEmbeddedZip) at DotNetNuke.Services.Installer.InstallerInfo..ctor(Stream inputStream, String sitePath) at DotNetNuke.Services.Installer.Installer..ctor(Stream inputStream, String physicalSitePath, Boolean loadManifest, Boolean deleteTemp) at DotNetNuke.Services.Upgrade.Upgrade.InstallPackage(String strFile, String packageType, Boolean writeFeedback) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Extensions.BatchInstall.InstallPackageItems(String packageType, CheckBoxList list, Label errorLabel, String errorKey)
System information: DotNetNuke version: 5.1.4 - logged in as host (superuser) Web Hosting: Plesk Folder permissions: ASP.NET Worker Process (ie. NETWORK SERVICE) has full file permissions to the root of the domain (httpdocs) and all subdirectories.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks

Check to make sure that file permissions are set correctly on your web directory. The ASP.NET worker task needs to have full permissions. These error messages indicate that is not the case.
------
I know that your messages says that permissions are set correctly, but I would double or triple check.
It may be that there are other ASP.NET installation errors. |

It turns out it was a permissions issue even though i was informed that they were correct and checked twice. Thanks very much for the reply :-) |

I am running into a problem that i am not getting the dropdown menu from the extensions icon. I am logged in as host and have tried this is firefox as well as IE 8. I was able to get it done by going directly to the url that was in the video, but i am worried that i have something configured wrong and i am going to continue to run into this problem. |

If you are on the Host, Extensions page you need to be in Edit mode.
You cannot install from the Admin, Extensions page. |
