I found the section of creating specific css styling based on the generated DNN ID's, ( e.g.  #dnn_contentpane ) enlightening.

I was wondering if the DNN generated ID might be utilised to also include other classes perhaps, specific font colours or sizes for individual panes. Or do you believe other methods of styling to be more efficient or benificial?

Hi Lynn,

yes you should be able to style fonts etc. based on the DNN ID. - this could be the most efficient way of styling the content panes as potentially you do not have to add extra divs and classes just for styling those panes. - if you combine this with the skinname.css file you can create some pretty efficient code.

Thanks for the fast reply.

I am currently working on a new site, I will have a go at this and see how it works out. I will let you the outcome and I will give you the link when it is up and running. Hopefully, if fully efficient, I can do away with the extra style.css and style.xml file for use with FCKEditor.

I will be interested to hear your comments when it's done.

I have found that creating CSS styles based on generated DNN ID can not be relied upon 100% because there are times when server controls generate extra parent containers.
