I have a quick question for you today - I am trying to gather some information on the Reports module and was wondering if you have already published one such video tutorial on the Reports module.

If yes, can you help me find it please? I'm very bad at searching for things - they're right under my nose and I can't find 'em.

I don't see a tutorial on the Reports module.

But, even if there isn't one, what is it that you'd like to know?

You install the Reports module just as any other module. Then, you can put the module on any page.

Basically, you configure a Reports module to include an sql query, and the module will execute the query and display the results. Presumably, you can create simple to quite complex queries. You can also display the results in a grid, with an html visualizer, or you can do an xml transformation visualizer.

If you ask some specific questions, I'm sure that we can give you some answers.

As an example ... put this in the query box: select * from users

If you leave all of the other parameters at their default values, then you'll get a table of all users registered at your site.

I'd recommend that you do your testing with pages visible only to administrators. Other words, you could put information on your public pages that shouldn't be public.

In the past if I have needed to present info in master / details functionality I have created a module for it. - The latest version of XMOD maybe able to cover your needs though and would be worth a look / enquiry to the XMOD team.

Yes, if you want to create modules that communitcate with one another, look at DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.Communications. If you google, you'll also find some other tutorials or blogs that have some examples of these object in use.

There is a very nice class browser at http://classbrowser.subzero-solutions.net/. It includes a section with all of the DotNetNuke libraries.
