I purchased a subscription last year (2011) when I decided to look at DNN again when it was re-written using C#. I was pretty excited about using it but since then have been using Microsoft's MVC 3 for almost all of my websites. As far as I can tell MVC is not in the future for DNN so being so tied to MVC now I just don't have the need for the DNN subscription. I would not have elected to renew this but completely forgot I even had the subscription so didn't realize until it showed up on my bank account as an unexpecte $79.97 expense.

I have tried 3 times to email andy@dnncreative.com about this but I get no answer. I finally figured out that I had used PayPal to purchase the original subscription back in 2011 so went to PayPal and decided to cancel the subscription. However, I haven't got any refunds and the subscription seems to still be active. Therefore today I went to PayPal and filed a dispute. I don't know what will happen but I hope I can get my money back.

I think DNN is still a great piece of software and if I were not using MVC I'd definitely want to use DNN. Currently I am using the Orchard CMS which was build around MVC 3.

I hope I'll get my money back and if DNN is any kind of respectable company which I assume they are I think that will happen. If DNN ever plans on going the route of MVC then I will get back on the bandwagon.
