Have 5.6.1 in production which shows the fault
Localhost 5.6.1 and upgrades to latest V5, V6 and fresh install of V6 all do the same thing. When adding modules to a page, the drop down list of modules only allows the first item (HTML) to be selected. Can't click and select any other module type.
Other drop down lists have the same fault.
Work around in V5 is to use Classic contral pane. V6 only uses popup menus.
Localhost is Vista with SQLServer 2005 Any ideas?

Which control panel are you using?

Is this with a custom skin? If so, switch to Dark Knight and see if the problem goes away. If it does, the problem is in your skin.

You can turn off the popups on the Host, Host Settings page.

Today loaded DNN 6 to Local Host and had same problems with popup windows; ie cannot select from a drop drown menu; also found that I couldn't drag the help boxes. Have today played with DNN 6 having discovered that I could turn on the ICONBAR option in host settings which enabled me to gain access to module adding.

Eventually a thought crossed my mind about COMPATIBILITY SETTIGS in Internet explorer. I am using Explorer 9 on Vista. I turned compatibility settings OFF for localhost - Surprise, surprise; the DarkNight skin is now working correctly! Thanks!
