Can someone help getting organized in 6.0

Finding my way through this new environment.

The manual are talking about 2 different editor, so where do I select which one to use?

The Dot-NetNuke.RadEditorProvider, it has only 2 tool bars, and I specifically missing the text align tools; Left / Centre / Right.


Another issue is that I can't see the images in the Portal Root, regardless if I upload in the editor or through the FTP.
(If I attempt to re-upload I get the message that the file already exist?)

You will find a page called HTML Editor Manager under the Host page. You can choose your editor there.

You need to Synchronize the file system (Host, File Manager) to be able to see files uploaded via FTP. Use the Recursive option.

Hmm, nothing seem to change, I tried a couple of times, and I refreshed the site.

Can you see the files in File Manager?

No I can't find the files in the File Manager window.

The only confirmation is that the file exist when I try uploading in the HTML Editor.


ALSO, for the editor; don't seem to have the "TelerikEditorProvider" as an option??

If you can't see the files in File Manager:

1. Make sure that the file extensions are on the list of allowed file extensions. That's in Host Settings.
2. Synchronize the files in File Manager after checking the box labelled Recursive.

The TelerikEditorProvider may not be installed. Look under Extensions, Available Extensions, Providers and install it if needed.

That was a tricky one - but I learned something in the process.

The File Manager pointing to; "wwwroot/Portals/_default" while I'm FTP to; "wwwroot/Portals/0".
The HTML Editor are also targeting "wwwroot/Portals/0" as it detected the files when I tried to up-load that way.
The files still didn't become visible in File Manager until I run the Synchronizing.

While I was checking which folder I was in I created a folder "TestFolder" and located it in my FTP. After locating it I deleted the folder in the FTP Manager - but the folder remain persistently in the File Manager.

This is after rebooting and refreshing (F5) the site a couple of times. Seemingly very slow or difficult to update and synchronize the 2 views.



Anyway I'm able to locate the files and it works!

Portals/0 is the "root" directory of the 0th portal. It is what you view with Admin, FileManager. If you have multiple portals in a single installation, they will normally be numbered starting with 0 and incremented for each new portal that is created. If you delete portals, you will have some numbers missing when the corresponding portal is deleted.

Portals/_default is the installation root. That is what you see when you use the Host, Filemanager.

Just in case you missed it, you can also configure the toolbars of any editor in the HTML Manager. That includes adding the text align tools amongst others in the DNNRadEditor.
