Firstly let me say thanks to anyone who responds, i'm a new and unsure if this is the correct forum or not.
I have install Microsofts WebMatrix, SQL Server Express 2008 and downloaded DNN into webMatrix I have configure a test database in SQL and also created a seperate test database under DNN Community in Web matrix. The SQL Database is under other connections in the Web Matrix and both are visible.

My question is this what, is the difference and what are the restrictions to both databases, the database under DNN community is only visible in the WEB matrix application however the SQL created database is in both, so which is the prefered option and easiest to connect to using forms in DNN and easiest to export to a host environment in the future. How can you also determin the limitations of the database unde the DNN community say like database capacity and maximum objects in can handle.

I'm just unsure which way to go when expanding my environment and hopefully migrating the finish product to a hosting server.

Let me first say that I haven't used WebMatrix.

My preference is to create the database directly in SQL Server. Any limitations are limitations of the version of SQL Server that you are using.

If there is uncertainty as to which database id being used, check your connection string in web.config or using the Admin or Host Dashboard page.
