The contract programmer’s main task is to convert an application from the Dot Net Nuke Architecture into VB.Net/SQL 2005.
Required skills:
1. VB.Net (not ASP)
2. Microsoft Visual SourceSafe
3. SQL 2005 (will accept experience in SQL 2000)
a. Designing/Coding (sp, views, functions, etc)
4. Dot Net Nuke experience
1. Why Converting? Because Nuke is not an scalable platform to work with unless you’re using more Nuke
2. Are you looking for the VB.NET to offer the level of customization that .NET Nuke offers?Yes and no – yes (Nuke) is nothing but ‘custom’ modules but I expect Object Oriented Programming (OOP) to get this job done
3. I’m looking for Active Directory (AD) integration with permissions – everything else is straight forward.
4. What version of .NET NUKE are you currently working with? Latest version
Individual will work with major stakeholders and transform application into updated VB Net version with SQL Backend. The manager is a senior DBA and can assist with the db design work, i.e. relational modeling. He also has another programmer on staff that can assist with historical knowledge only; the onsite programmer will not code for this project.
Please be aware of these requirements as well due the sensitivity of the position:
1. Background check – absolutely no infractions to include DUI, etc no matter how long ago.
2. Reference check – at least three with two professional and one character
3. Credit check – no credit issues at all
4. Drug test – no narcotics even if prescribed and of course no illicit (illegal) drugs
This position is extremely confidential and as we will be conducting our own background, I want to ensure before we start doing ours, you have done yours. Individual will be required to a sign confidentiality statement, no work from home option at any time, all code is locked in Visual SourceSafe. Individual will not be supplied with any UCM equipment to include laptop, etc. Individual will have a workstation with a desktop pc.
