I am using the core dnn feedback module. I have 12 categories setup in the category list. However, on page 1 I want to only show 6 of the 12 category items and likewise, on page 2 I want to show 6 of the 12 category items. In other words, I do not want to show all 12 category items on any page I create that uses the feedback module. I want to show a sub-set of category items on each page that uses the feedback module. Is this possible? If yes, how?
thanks,
Justin

The FAQ module doesn't have the feature of specifying which categories should be displayed.
I would recommend that you look around for a module that does have that feature.
I have used the Expandable Text/HTML module from IowaComputerGurus.com as a FAQ module. It doesn't have categories, but I just created an instance of the module for each of the categories that I wanted. Each "category" (module instance) contains just the questions and answers for that module.
There are other faq modules available at Snowcovered.com and you may find others via Google.

Hi,
thanks for the reply. However, I am not using the faq module, I am using the feedback module. Did you mean to type feedback and maybe typed faq?
Please let me know if the feedback module supports showing/hiding category items.
thanks,
Justin

The feedback module does include categories. You can also adjust the Feedback Comments module to show a particular category.
Perhaps you could expand on what you want to do.

Ok, here is an example. I have added 6 categories to the feedback list. Say car, plane, boat, apple, pear, banana.
On the travel feedback page I am using the feedback module and only want to show car, plane, and boat in the category list. I do not want to show apple, pear, or banana in the category list since they are not relative to the travel feedback page.
On the fruit feedback page I am using the feedback module and only want to show apple, pear, and banana in the category list. I do not want to show car, plane, and boat in the category list since they are not relative to the fruit feedback page.
Currently, all 6 categories show on both pages. Is showing only a sub-set of category items on a feed back module supported? I.E showing only car, plane, and boat on the travel page and only apple, pear, and banana on the fruit page?
thanks,
Justin

That is not included in the Feedback Module's functionality. But, you might be able to customize the module to do that. If you have programming skills, the source for the module is available at DotNetNuke.com.
