I am a beginner at this web stuff and I seem to be going back words.  I have built a website Answers To Car Accident Questions and I switched domains from www.answerstoaccidentquestions.com to Answerstocaraccidentquestions.com and ever since my Google ranking has died.  I have them set up as an alias in my parent portals.

I think this is creating a duplicate content issue, but my hosting company says no.  I hope some one can help. I know I have some CSS validation issues, but I was still ranking better before I set up the aliases.

I think that this has to do with changing the domain name. Simply pointing from the old domain to the new domain isn't sufficient. You need to somehow let Google know that the old pages now have new names.

I'm hardly an expert on this, but I think that you need to do "permanent redirects" from the old page names to the new ones. I'm not sure that you can do this without keeping the old domain name alive.
