Hello Fellow Nukers, I am fairly new to all this website building stuff, but I think I am getting the hang of it. I just set up a Google Analytic's account and I find when I am updating or modifying my site that this skews the results of my Google Analytic's. Does anyone know anyway around this? Click here to see my site if you need to see it. Thank you in advance. Merle |

In what way does it skew results of Google Analytics? Do you mean that your own visits are counted and you'd like to see reports without your own visits? If yes, you can use custom segment to exclude your visits from your city. If you live in a large city, you may exclude too much if you have other visitors from the same city. I am not sure, but I think there's way to more precise exclusion. However, custom segments are good starting point. |

You might want to try this module (Google Analytics Evolved for DotNetNuke): http://oliverhine.com/DotNetNuke/Mo...olved.aspx It let's you specify whether you want Admin or Host traffic included as well as create Google Analytics segmentation based on your user roles. There are a few others on his site that are worth looking at too. |

Oliver Hine's Advanced Control Panel is a "must install" module for me. Thanks for the information about his Google module. I'll have to take a look. |

Finding help through Google shortlinks and Analytics help menu can be tiring. It's not that they have the solutions posted over there, it's just that sometimes it's a little hard to find the right answer. As far as your problem is concerned, Analytics takes some times to update the statistics. If you have waited already and it didnt solve your problem, then you can try installing Visitor Maps or Geo Location plugin to see whether the results are matching your analytics data, or not. |

I agree with David. Sometimes when you are looking for help on the Google site for Google Analytics, it can be quite frustrating. Sometimes it does take awhile for the statistics to update. |

Ya, it'll take some time to reconcile with the changes. So, don't worry. It'd be fine within a week and start showing statistics of your site. And I visited your site. It seems impressive. Keep things on. BOL. |

The best way is to exclude your own IP address from your Analytics. In the settings somewhere, you can find the option to exclude IP addressed find out your own (Google "what is my IP"), and then type it in. Your own visits should now not affect your data. Hope that helps! |

Google Analytics is one of my favorites tools online to do SEO. I really appreciate this program because it gives you access to a tone of data and information in which you can base your decisions. I learned how to use it, watching videos online and with the advise and guidance of [url=http://www.dalaigroup.com/Dalai Group[/url] , a SEO Company that specialized in increased the visibility of the website for the costumers but obviously for the search engines as well. I would tell you, try to find online some tutorial for Google analytic, it is the easy way to go. |
