The "Roles" there might be; Students Level01, Students Level02 etc...


Do I just manually have to set the authorization?

As the student progresses going in and manually authorizing him for a new role?

Yes, you probably will have to do it manually. It would be possible to create a module to add roles. Whether that would be useful to you probably depends on the amount of time that you spend doing it.

Let's see if I'm on the track here....

So, I create Security Roles "Student Level 01", "Student Level 02" etc..
This is at least 12 levels, so I might do a "Role Group" for this?

The student register as a standard DNN "Registered User" and as he start the course program the administrator have to manually put a tick in the "Student Level 01" box. Eventually the student will have all 12 "Student Level boxes" ticked - thus access to all classes.

On the Web Page side;
For access permission to these pages I only tick for the Security role of that class number?

Don't know if I got that understandable Joe, but I have a go and see what happens.

I believe I seen a tutorial as well about security roles, maybe time for review.

Yes, you've got it.

Remember that the Role Groups are used only for organization and display.  Other than that, they don't do anything.
