Hi People
I'm looking for a "dark Theme" skin where I can run Flash in the header?
Any ideas?
Any of the skins here in DNN Creative that run Flash in the header?
Cheers
Olle....

If you want to put a flash file in a header, what I like to do is modify the header to be a content pane. Then, install the flash using the free DigFlash module in that pane. Set it to appear on all pages. |

Thanx Joe.... I'm back! Still on low speed and frustrating on waiting for everything - but that's Australia. And it seems like some of my submission yesterday entered, but half done and cryptic - you probably thought I been too heavy on the whiskey bottle? Anyway will try the attachments again today and see what happens. Here's the Skin by the way; http://www.aimartialarts.comXD5FlowerS.zip Except from Flash Animation in the header, I'm trying to modify the background color? Using Firefox toolbar I deleted all settings in all CSS files that showed up, but that didn't change anything. I then search for color settings in the *.ascx but there wasn't any dark gray. SO??? Where can the background color setting for the expandable backing be set? Cheers Olle |

The dark gray is part of the background image: XDChangesTop04.jpg
If you want to get rid of the gray, you'll need to modify the image.

Hi Joe. Isn't the XDChangeTop04 the header only? I meant the lighter gray on the entire page, sort of behind the actual skin? The gray area expanding with the browser window? Cheers Olle.... |

My mistake Joe. The background was in "skin.css", don't know how I could delete all classes without changing it before? So far so good, now I just gona put a pane in the heading. |

I was probably in there and ticked the "Play" box before you tested Joe. Made a big difference to tell "DigFlash" to actually run the Flash. Always something funny. Olle.. |

Now I have a bit of a mess Joe! Help! I got the extra content pane in the Header running. And I have the Flash working there. On this test installation; http://www.liveforlifenow.com/Default.aspxNow I tried to install on a client site, and it all played up. http://www.aimartialarts.com ( 05.03.01
(7) )
First the left pane modules seemed to expand indefinitely.
I reversed back to earlier skin and looked at the skin folders, I found a dozen or so Container.css???
I have added an additional container as I didn't seem to be able to display the "DigFlash" without container.
See print attached.

One thing that messed up the containers (See header bar on image.) was this one table { padding: 0; } Padding 3 or 3 here gave a nice gap between menu items, but messed up other areas. So, what will give me a bit of gap in the menu? td height="30" valign="bottom"> tr td valign="top"<!-- Menu Placement Should be a CSS class though as there are 7 skins included here. Thanks for any ideas .... |

Here's a common error I get after installing the skin.
The skin install is successful without error.
I get this error when pressing the Return button.
Cheers

If reloading the page works, then I wouldn't worry about it.
Viewstate is information stored in your page that is used to "persist" information to the next page when it is loaded. The message indicates that something has gotten out of sync. That can happen if the page you are loading is changed.

OK Joe - I'll ignore that one then. (Any ideas why it generate a stack of container.css?) Yesterday I set up a new site; http://www.ollepersson.com/AboutMe.aspx I loaded my modified skins and Flash and it all works fine. While it still doesn't work here; http://www.aimartialarts.com (05.03.01 (7) ) Will remove all skin install today - upgrade the site and see if that helps. Cheers Olle... |
