I have godaddy unlimited plan, so i decided to install dnn into a subdirectory
(like i do with other static websites and it works), i installed dnn manually
everything works but domain is duplicated

ex
http://domainname.com/domainname.co...fault.aspx

any suggestions? maybe web.config needs to be changed?

I have not tried to put a DotNetNuke site on GoDaddy. I've read too many threads recounting problems. Have you tried asking their support staff for help?

If you google around, you will find blogs that discuss the issues. There is one subscription site that has instructions for installing DotNetNuke on GoDaddy. As I have never used that, I can't give you a recommendation. Also check the forums at DotNetNuke.com

i am reading more on this now , found this (i have the same problem in Blogengine as well):

"If I wrote all of my web applications myself, this wouldn’t be a problem. There are many, many existing applications though (BlogEngine.NET, DotNetNuke), that use the application root directory to create internal links. These applications will “leak” the hosting directory into the URL, which may not be what one expects or wants! (That these applications aren’t using purely relative links in the first place is a separate, but also intriguing, issue.)"

i havent aksed godaddy yet, knowing (ex "cant auto install DNN in root") godaddy i think i know what they are going to say.
