FTP Upload of SKINS?

I can do the FTP install Resources and it finish successfully, but often the container doesn't show up in the list. I do a conventional on site install and get notified the container is already installed - proceed with "Repair/Install" and it's fine. I noticed with all this "DNNSKINS" I'm testing that they do NOT have any SUB-Menus??? Also, REGISTER, LOGIN and LOGOUT are in the bottom only???
