I would like to use the DotNetNuke Documents module but I am having problems setting up document security.

I have viewed the file manager video (http://www.dnncreative.com/DotNetNu...ault.aspx) and the Documents module video.

I would like to setup the security so that all users can view the available documents, but only registered users can download.

The only way I can see to acheive this, is to put two copies of the Document module on the same page. The first Doc module would only be available to all unregistered users, and would not display the download link. The second Doc module would only be available to registered users, and would display the dowload link.

This approach is a bit clunky and would circumnavigate the file security approach.

Is there any way I can display the list of documents to unregistered users without allowing them to download.

I think that's about right.

You may find the Repository Module to be a bit more flexible. DMX Pro from Bring2Mind is a commercial product that is quite flexible and condigurable. It may well be overkill for your application.
