I use DNN 04.06.02. It was installed (3d party did all the original set up) with Dynamic Registration. Two questions: 1) How do I retrieve the data from all fields associated with a user account, 2) What are the possible reasons that prevent me from "seeing" the indicator that a field is "required" and what might I be doing wrong that seems to allow users to create records without entering a required field?

I like Effority's User Directory for the first one.

For the second, take a look at these:

Besides specifiying profile properties as required, there is a User Setting to require a valid profile when a user registers or logs in.

Thanks for the reply. I have been waiting endlessly for the tutorials to downlond. Same problem I reprote din earlier forum entry. Interesting also that the two links provided in teh email both took me to MY home page for My website and teh URL's appeared to be totally messed up. I've asked about that problem with emails I have produced on my DNN site as well. I am checking out teh Effority site. Very frustrated right now not being able to get the information needed to be productive and improve my site appearance and operation and to be able to see what my users' inforation is. When you go to the downloads, are you clicking "save as" rather than open. You should be getting fast speeds when downloading.

I'm not sure why the emails send different links, it maybe that the URLS posted in the forum are relative links, so just make sure you click on the link in the forum email to read the forum post and then view the links from there.

You mention that you have Dynamic Registration installed, if you are using that module, you will need to go into the Dynamic Registration modules settings to configure indicating a field is required.

In Dynamic Registration, go to the Module Configuration option / validation configuration and there is an option for "Display * next to label"
