I am trying to evaluate Artisteer versus EasyMod/Flex2. I would appreciate your comments on these two products. Maybe other members might like a review/article. I'm not sure on either one, but I did receive this message from Olivier Jooris from LinkedIn. He states: "Not so good upgrade for Artisteer 2.3... They did not correct the postback bug in the artmenu.aspx.vb".

I've asked for a clarification, but we'll see what happens.

I also know that currently, Artisteer does not do Vertical menu's. It is, supposedly, scheduled for release in the next 2.4 version.

I have absolutely no knowledge of EasyMod/Flex2 other than I purchased it and am waiting to start using it. It looks to be interesting. I can't really comment on that otherwise.

Main difference I see is that Artisteer will also do WordPress and Drupal skins where EasyMod won't.

Also, I still don't see a whole lot of advantage to either of these programs over just building your own.  I have a set of "blank" skins with different pane layouts.  I just grab the one with the pane layout I want, apply background image/colors I want, change the css file for font colors, size, etc., and pick which menu I want out of the 4 or 5 different menu modules/skin objects I have. Either add a banner to the skin or in most cases I use the skin with a banner pane and add a text/html module OR a banner rotator module, click apply to all pages,  and then the client can change the banner themselves if they wish.  The whole process takes about 30 minutes.  More or less depending on the complexity of the skin.

If choosing color combination's is a problem then there are many online tools to do this for you or get the color palette grabber FF add-on and find a website you like to grab the colors from.

Now if there was a program that would create the DNN skin, menu skin, tabs module skin, Xmod skin, etc. all at once kind of like the Jquery Theme roller then that would get my attention!!  (grin)
