I deleted a page then created a page of the same name and now I have two pages in the same tab sub list with the same name. When I click on the first entry it takes me to an entirely different page that also has it's own tab on the top line (no parent). When I click on the second link it takes me to the new subpage that is correctly assigned the parent tab. When I display the list of tabs only the new page is shown as being a subpage of the parent which is correct. It looks like this in Tabs.

In the page it would be like this:
A D
 B
 C
 C

where the 1st C in the list is actually D. If I modify the content of the first C it modified D. So it is the same page.

My question is what table and where do I go to fix this? What tables in the database are involved. Is there any kind of a link checker that can find and drop these bad link relationships. Since C1 does not have a parent of A then it should be dropped as a link without effect D the real Page.

When you delete a page, it really is not deleted, but goes into the Recycle Bin.  You can delete it permanently from there.

To make sure that you delete the correct page, you might want to rename one of them, perhaps by appending '-old' to the name.

Update:  I just tried this in a 5.1.2 installation.  If I try to create a page with the same name as an existing page, I get an error message.  If I delete the page, and try to create a page with the same name, I get an error message that tells me that a page with the same name exists in the recycle bin.
