Yes it is absolutely necessary to use specific keywords for each page. general rule of thumb is 1 primary and 2-3 secondary key word phrases.
Your websites success of failure depends on how you use keywords on your site, on pages, headings, titles, content, images, internal / external links.

I have seen some sites where they would have a meta name="robots" content="all" /> Is this possible to have a revisit on content every 10 days... Pierre

I don't see anything like that.  Here is the basic information about the ROBOTS meta tag:











CONTENT="ALL | NONE | NOINDEX | INDEX| NOFOLLOW | FOLLOW | NOARCHIVE"


default = empty = "ALL"
"NONE" = "NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"

The CONTENT field is a comma separated list:
INDEX: search engine robots should include this page.
FOLLOW: robots should follow links from this page to other pages.
NOINDEX: links can be explored, although the page is not indexed.
NOFOLLOW: the page can be indexed, but no links are explored.
NONE: robots can ignore the page.
NOARCHIVE: Google uses this to prevent archiving of the page.

Your robots.txt file has nothing to do with how often your pages get crawled. Only what pages do and don't get crawled. Your sitemap can reference how often YOU think your page has content updates and how often YOU think it should be crawled, but Google and the other engines don't necessarily take your suggestion :-). Most SEO 'experts' say that the best way to get your site indexed often is to provide compelling unique content that has lots of authoritative incoming links to it. That's geek speak for 1)write your own stuff ... don't use too much of somebody else's stuff 2) Find a way to get other websites to link to you. The more famous they are the better. There are some tricks that you can use to make engines index you a bit faster, but ultimately, the links and content are what will make you successful.
