Hi,

I have a weird situation with one of the DNN installations and I would really appreciate some help.

I have two sites - A and B. The FCK Editor Toolbar worked fine in Site A. I copied site A to make Site B. At this point the FCK Editor Toolbar worked fine in both sites - A and B. For some reason, the FCK Editor Toolbar on site A no longer works.

Currently, when I click on Edit Text within any of the Text/HTML modules I am taken to Basic Text Box and the HTML is displayed. However, if you click the Rcih Text Editor, there is nothing displayed whether Source is clicked or not.

The major issue is that when using the Basic Text box I get a lot of
tags that breaks certain elements.

I am not aware of any changes I have made that would cause this.

Is there anyway to reload the files that run the editor?

Are sites A and B in a single installation of DotNetNuke, or are they two separate installations?

Are you using a standard DotNetNuke skin, or are you using a custom or purchased skin? If you are not using a standard skin, switch one of the sites to use a standard skin and see if this error continues?

Sites A and B are separate installations with their own DB and set of DNN files.

Both sites are using a custom skin.

I switched the skin of Site A (where the editor is not working) to MinimalExtropy and there was no change. I reverted the skin to the original.

Any other thoughts? Thank you again.

AJAX and javascript installed and working?  Do all other aspects of DotNetNuke work without problems.

Everything looked good besides the editor.

I tried resaving the web.config file which did unfortunately not help.

I played some more and changing the editor resolved the issue. From an HTML/Text module:
Edit Text
Show Custom Editor Options
Change Toolbar Skin from Office2003 to Silver and applied these changes to the Portal.
I then changed it back from Silver to Office2003 and the Rich Text Editor is working again!
