Joe,
I have the same problem that Greg Gotcher, Manager of Technology, Gooseberries Fresh Food Market has.
My situation is slightly different. Here are the details.
I downloaded HouseMenuSkin ObjectPA_01.03.01 and then installed it by going to Host > Module Definitions and then choosing Install Module. It says everything went well, but I do not see [Skin Objects] under Module definintons.
I then uploaded the skin provided by DNN Creative in the tutorial,
Part 8, VortexMusic_Skin_Stage_Two_Housemenu_Tutorial\Skin\Vortex.zip,
but when I go to the page where I installed the skin I get the following error:
Could Not Load Skin: /Portals/_default/Skins/Vortex/1 Pane - Fixed Width.ascx, Error: The file '/oumc/HouseMenuSkinObject.ascx' does not exist.
Greg Gotcher then asks:
Does the HouseMenu not work with DNN 5?
Your reply is disappointing.
You probably have the reference to the House menu wrong.
You will want to look in your web directory to see where House menu is installed. Most likely, it is in a subdirectory of DesktopModules, so the path to the file might be something like:
/DotNetNuke/DesktopModules/HouseMenu/HouseMenuSkinObject.ascx
You haven’t given him or me any idea of why we would want to know where the HouseMenu/HouseMenuSkinObject.ascx file is, or where it should be, or how to change the reference to it.
In my case, I am using DNNCreative files, so all references should be correct.
Also, any skin files that may be wrong wouldn’t explain the problem of not seeing the [Skin Objects] under Module Definitions.
I understand that you are answering many calls for help and try to be as efficient as you can, but you need to be sure that your responses are meaningful to you audience.
Did Greg ever get a solution?
Do you have any help for me?
