Is there a way I can have various pages of the site display different banner images without creating all new pages for each?

There are content rotators that will display random images on a page. You could do something like that. Put a content rotator in the banner pane of your skin, set it to display on every page, and away you go.

Or is your requirement different? If you want to put a static banner on each page, just add a Text/HTML module to the banner pane of each page.

I don't want the banners to rotate, I just want a different banner on each page. I was trying to avoid having to build several different pages but I think that is what I will have to do.

When you say that you might need to "create new pages" are you really talking about creating new skins, each with a different banner?

If that is the real question, then you shouldn't do it that way. Create one skin, and create a pane where you want the banner to do. Then apply the skin to each of your pages, and insert a module with the banner in the appropriate pane.

I tried it.  I made a pane then added the text/html module and inserted the banner for each page.  It turned out great.
