Hi!
I followed the tutorial for limiting the access to the admin menu. What a great thing!
However, I'm running into some problems putting things back into the admin menu if we decide to remove a feature.
Any ideas on how to do this?
Thanks for any help you can provide!

all you need to do is reverse the process within the SQL tables.
Compare the data to the other rows in the table that are in the admin menu and copy those settings to place the menu item back into the admin menu.

Thanks Lee- I will give that a try.
An additional question- If you place the "User Accounts" page under the "Site Admin" menu (limited) then can you still allow that role to create new users?
I need to test this, but wasn't sure if you knew. I will post my findings.

That is what I thought. So for my clients that will need to manage user accounts, I can not limit their admin menu. I will reverse out the other pages I had limited.
Thanks for your help!

OK-
So I've updated the TABS table entries in the database and set the previously modified entries (that were removed from the admin menu) back to the settings, as compared to other portals.
After clearing the cache and restarting the application- the items are now removed from the "Site Admin" menu, but do not appear under the "Admin" menu.
Can you think of any other place in the database that would need to be updated.
Thanks!

Hello,
It is just the tabs table that needs changing. - I would double check the settings you have entered into the table row.
As an additional check you could install a fresh installation of DotNetNuke and double check the settings for that menu item in the fresh installation of DotNetNuke and then just apply those settings into your modified version of DotNetNuke
Thanks,
