Here’s 2 questions – probably simple once?

 

Do we have a Module for embedded video in Dot Net Nuke?

Preferably with controls, I want to manually start the video – and stop it if I like to.

 

I know I can build it in Flash, and then run the Flash Movie in DNN, but that’s sort of a roundabout way.

 

 

SECONDLY:

I have a 30 page site with a “TEXT/HTML” module in the bottom appearing on all pages.

 

Now I want to put a “TOP OF PAGE” link in all these, but are there a code that scroll to the top of page?

Otherwise I have to go and correct the hyperlink on all pages, no good for a lazy one like me.

You could have a look at: Ultra Video Gallery

I have not used it, but have seen a lot of people using it.

If you are being lazy you could:

add a text HTML module at the top of the page set to display all
< p id=”TopOfPage” > & nbsp ; < / p >

add a text module to the bottom of the page set to display all
< a href=”#TopOfPage” >Go to Top of Page< /a >

(spaces added so it displays in the forum)

Add the html code in each of those for anchor links.

If you need info on anchor links have a look at: Beginners guide to html for DotNetNuke and look at the links section.

You maybe able to use the text HTML module at the bottom to link to an object in your skin rather than adding a module to the top.

But the Video solution seems a bit 'pricy' for my application. A very basic display of a single short introduction.

Here it is again:

Video & Register Modules:

 

Doesn’t anyone have Modules available?

 

I’m looking for 2 DNN Modules.

 

The first one is a basic Video Module.

Just playing a single welcoming message on the page.

 

It do need a start button to make it optional for the visitor to run the video.

Preferably run 3gp movies without converting.

 

 

Secondly a registration or “query” form.

A basic feedback form with fields for “date in” and “date out”.

 

This is for a holiday apartment rental company.

It is not registration, just for contacting with possibility to select preferred dates.

anyone got any options for the modules? All I can suggest is have a good look around snowcovered.

Repository core module used to have a video template (was a bit buggy when I used it a long time ago), could be worth looking to see if it still does have it + if you can get it to work.

Yea I looked around, and I will test the "Interactivewebs.com" Silverlight Module.

great, will be interested to hear your thoughts. One thing to bear in mind is - will the user need silverlight installed before they can view your videos? - if the site is for the general public and not developers you may find they do not already have silverlight installed.

Yea you are right about Silverlight, so it is dependent whether people want to install it.

But I am running a test install anyway, and the Module works fine.
