Hi,  I'm pretty new to DNN and I'm learning as I go along. We were making some updates and encountered an error. I'm pretty sure someone has probably had this error before and wrote about it, for the sake of time, can someone either respond or direct me to a previous response for my current issue.

Background Info

• I noticed we had tons of unused module on our portal site so i proceeded to delete these unused module.
  
• Our internet service was a off resulting in numerous drop-out for the day, one of these drop-out occured while uninstalling one of the module.
• I tried adding a new page afterward and I got this error message, Error: Page Management is currently unavailable. I was not able to add the page.
  
• We installed back the deleted module and the error remained.
  
• We reverted back to a previous working backup of the portal & it now working but we enter all the changes made after that restore point. 

I am trying to understand what happened so we can avoid that in the future. Can someone help? I fail to see how deleting module would affect "Adding new page" resulting in the above error. Again Can someone please shed some light into this area.

I've not run into this one before.

But ... you might want to try getting a copy of the "upgrade" package of the DotNetNuke version that you are using and copying it over your existing web directory. If there's something missing, that should replace it.

ALWAYS make backups of the web directory AND the database before doing things like this. Do it when you are beginning to make big (or even small) changes.
