A question regarding the FCK editor.

When associating it with the skin.css file, (enabling the dynamic button) the text area takes the colour of the background specified in the body class.

The background colour I am currently using is black, which makes it very difficult to see the text. I took the advice from your tips forum from webbo  who suggested to add another body class and associate the colour to that.  However, I have found that this does not have the same full effect as the original body class .

I understand that within the FCK editor is a file called editorarea.css which I believe will effect the background of the edit area as the name implies.  However, I am not too clear how I can use this, i.e. if I should move it or edit it  and can I still use the styles from my skin.css, I am a little confused.

Yes this is a problem that I haven't really found a solution to.

The editorarea.css - When in FCKEditor, tick 'Show Custom Editor Options' for this instance. - Under this you will then see an area where you can specify the CSS file for the FCKEditor to use for the 'Edit Area CSS'

If I recall correctly, in the tutorial, this is where we specified to use the DotNetNuke css files so that you can view the style of your pages directly within the FCK Editor. - So, it will use the details from the body class.

I just tested uploading a custom css file as a file but this did not make any changes to the editor. - I would suggest asking in the FCKEditor forum on dotnetnuke.com to see if they can provide any tips. - If they do, let us know, thanks,
