I have installed DNN 5.1.4 and created an additional parent portal. But after login in to that portal as the administrator, some of the Text headings disappeared. I tried reinstalling 3 times but it didn’t fix. I am hosting My site at GoDaddy Deluxe web hosting plan. Initially I used the GoDaddy installation script to install 5.1.2 and with that installation after login in as the super user almost all the text heading disappeared. Then I uninstall and re-installed but no luck. Then I downloaded the 5.1.4 and installed it manually. And login to the host and everything was OK. Then I created another parent portal, and login to this new portal as portal administrator. Then the problem appeared again. Ie. Text names of control panel, logout text, Terms and Condition text from the front page, and lot more text headings are missing. Can someone please help me ?

And text appears correctly in the other portal?

Check to make sure that the default language is specified for this portal.

Yes. The only other portal is the main host portal, text appears correctly in it. In both portals I use Australian Locale(English) and configured the currency to AUD.

If might be interesting to create a third portal and see which behavior it exhibits.

I created the 3rd portal, same result as the second, no text headings.

I don't have any ideas about this one ...

No. I installed same version for another customer on their own Windows 2003 based web server and configured 2 sites. It worked well. I think this problem is only with goDaddy.com hosting. They are not realy a good windows provider, they have stupid limitations and requirements. If you are using GoDaddy, My best advice is to find a good windows hosting provider.

I have the same issue. I just recently did an upgrade, however no errors and portal was fine after upgrade. Now I see the same thing as your image above. I do not host with Go Daddy, we host our own web server. Any other suggestions? Were you utilizing any third party modules like page localization for multilingual?

No I didn't use any 3rd party modules. But I change the locale to Australian settings. Now I am hosting the site with a different provider and it works well. Try upgrading to latest version.

CBOSS, did you check that a default language is still set after the upgrade?

Try this:

• Go to ADMIN menu - LANGUAGES
• Under Available Locales if your Langauge is not selected, click the dropdown and select the language
• Select Edit Language and then
• Select Enabled
• Now if you go ADMIN - SITE SETTINGS - Advanced Settings - Other Settings - Default Language (Should be correct)
