with a container height the size of the page, however this does not
appear to work in my DNN page, all of the div's are named exacty the

space on the page? my template skin ascx http://pastebin.com/f4db76b70The css example http://www.xs4all.nl/~peterned/examples/css/layout1.css Edit Solved:

Hi, I have the same problem. The footer is not layed out at the bottom of my page. I added this css code to my skin.css file:
form{ height: 100% }
but it is not working. Am I missing something here?
greetings,
Anthony |

Hello, Looking at your code: #footer { height:32px; font-family: Trebuchet ms, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; color: #000; text-align: center; float: bottom; vertical-align: bottom; padding-top: 10px; margin-top: 150px; background-color: #f3f4f4; text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 1px; border-bottom-color: #fff; border-top: 1px; border-top-color: #fff; } You may want to check: margin-top: 150px; This adds the large space above the footer Also, float: bottom does not exist in CSS, you may want to try clear: both instead. We have a CSS reference book here which may help: CSS Reference Book (112 page PDF)Thanks, |

Thanks Lee for the advice and suggestions. I couldn't solve the problem though. The trouble is that the skin is a combination of table layout and css layout.
In Firefox everything renders normal, the problems occur only in IE : (

Hi Lee, Seems that I got it almost right. I had to configure also the .c_content class in the skin.css for the container. I added the height: 350px;height:auto;min-height:350px; definitions to this class. The only problem I'm left with is this awkward ');' character under the footer: http://www.tandjebij.be/contact.aspxI've seen this mysterious character also appearing in the Flex2 skin from DrNuke. Is this a DotNetNuke bug? greetings and thanks for your help, Anthony www.webmove.be Belgium |

Those extra characters are in your skin file.

I discovered that these characters come from the Google Analytics tracking code that I pasted in the 'url parameter' textbox on the Google Analytics admin page. I checked the code again for any typo's , but it is correct:
[script removed]
var _gaq = _gaq || [];
_gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-10037575-7']);
_gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);
(function() {
var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : ' http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
})();

If that code is being injected in the page by the Google tracking code, it probably will happen with every skin.
Can you just use the tracking code and not the extra stuff?

Yeah, I guess so. I got confirmation from drnuke that the problem does not originate from their skin file, but is generated by the Google Analytics code.
So I'll remove that code from the url parameter textbox on the Google Analytics page. I wonder I my pages will still be tracked after this?

Anthony

Just put your tracking code in the Tracking ID box and that's all that you need to do.
