Hello,
This is a full article, I will try to summarise what to do and I will create a full tutorial of it for release in a future issue.
Child Portal:
WIll be something such as:
localhost/mainwebsite/testskinportal
(You can test this out on a localhost installation before attempting it on a live installation)
To create a Child Portal:
Log in as Host
Go to Host menu / Portals
Click on Add New Portal
Click on Child radio button
Add to the link the name of the Portal you would like eg:
localhost/mainwebsite/testskinportal
Enter the rest of your details and an admin username that you would like to create for this portal
Click on Create Portal
It will automatically log you in to your new portal as Host
To create a portal that points to a domain name - when you create the portal select Parent rather than child and enter the domain name you require.
The second part of your question is related to portal aliases:
- If you want to add another domain name you can use the portal aliases section
go to admin menu / site settings, scroll down
Click add New HTTP alias
Add the additional address - do not use http:// - just use www.myaddress.com
Pointing 2 domains using this method is not a good method however as Google will read the sites as 2 separate sites that have dupliacte content. - We discuss this in the mp3 interview with Jeff Smith and the solutions / workarounds you can implement - listen to the interview here:

Hope this gives you some starting points to experiment with, thanks
