i have created the parent portal using  host login and then menu portal and by selecting parent portal .

Problem is that when try to click on alias it doesn;t work

Do I need to create virtual directory in ISS or need to do  some changes to my SQL Server Database

Please help me on this problem.

What do you mean "When I try to click on alias"?

When setting up a parent portal you need to enter into portal alias the full address, such as: www.mysite.com

Once you have done that you then need to go to your hosting providers control panel and in the Host Headers section add in your new domain name. - Note: Some hosting providers do not give you access to these settings, so you may have to contact your Hosting Provider. Basically you are pointing your new domain name to your current DNN installation.

Once you have done this you will be able to navigate to your new domain name.
